OG.com, the derivatives platform operated by Crypto.com, has completed SEC registration to launch stock futures trading in the United States. Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek announced the approval on Thursday, confirming that the SEC had formally acknowledged the platform's registration documentation.
The trading venue, officially designated as North American Derivatives Exchange, submitted Form 1-N to the SEC on Monday. The SEC formally acknowledged receipt on September 16, with the registration becoming effective on September 14. This registration enables OG.com to provide single-stock futures contracts to US traders.
Pursuing Perpetual Futures Approval
Crypto.com's ambitions extend beyond conventional stock futures products. The company is actively engaging with both the SEC and CFTC to secure approval for single-stock perpetual futures trading in US markets. Perpetual futures represent derivative contracts without predetermined settlement dates, which have become standard in cryptocurrency markets but remain relatively uncommon for individual equity trading in the United States.
The platform has already secured CFTC registration as both a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization, positioning it to broaden its product offerings.
Competitive Activity in the Market
Crypto.com is not alone in pursuing this strategy. Coinbase submitted its own registration notice for equity perpetual futures products earlier this month and awaits final CFTC approval. Coinbase previously rolled out stock perpetual futures for its international customer base outside US jurisdiction in March, and introduced US customers to regulated cryptocurrency futures and around-the-clock equities trading with 24/5 availability in February.
Kraken has similarly moved into this market segment by forming an alliance with the London Stock Exchange to facilitate trading of tokenized UK equities with 24/5 trading capabilities, with launch anticipated in 2027.
Robinhood Partnership
Robinhood established a connection with Crypto.com and OG.com earlier this month, obtaining ownership stakes in both entities as part of an arrangement to direct certain event contracts through OG.com's infrastructure.
