Onlend announced a decentralized infrastructure platform that allows users to create, launch and manage onchain lending applications without writing underlying protocol code. The platform is designed for fintech firms, asset managers, curators and issuers of tokenized assets.
The service offers a permissionless, no‑code environment where builders can set supported assets, collateral parameters, interest‑rate models, price oracles, liquidation mechanisms, fees and administrative permissions. Applications may be open or restricted, feature a white‑label interface, and can be either actively managed or governed by immutable rules.
Technical features include support for advanced interest‑rate models such as fixed rates, rates linked to external benchmarks like staking yields, and targeted rates for specific borrowers. This flexibility aims to address limitations of existing lending protocols that either require governance approval for new assets or enforce immutable market parameters.
Onlend’s team, which has previously worked on scaling a DeFi lending protocol to over $400 million in peak total value locked and $13 billion in cumulative deposits, plans testnet deployments in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The launch comes as global debt exceeds $350 trillion and DeFi loan activity stands at roughly $33 billion, highlighting growth potential for onchain lending. Stablecoin markets have surpassed $300 billion and tokenized real‑world assets are valued at about $39 billion, creating additional opportunities for customized lending products.
