PEPE Reclaims $2B Market Cap as Weekly Rally Outpaces Ethereum

PEPE has reclaimed a $2.08 billion market cap after a 10.2% daily rally, extending its weekly gains to 20.6% as the memecoin returns to a price range it has struggled to hold since October's crash.

The advance came alongside $483.4 million in 24-hour spot trading volume, and PEPE led the top 100 cryptocurrencies by daily gains, outperforming its peers over the period.

Volume lifts PEPE into top altcoin ranks

Measured by 24-hour trading volume, PEPE broke into the top 10 altcoins with $673 million, placing it alongside major assets such as Ethereum, Solana and XRP. Ethereum remained dominant in the ranking with $11.4 billion in volume.

The PEPE/ETH ratio is up more than 13% on the weekly timeframe, indicating the memecoin is outperforming Ethereum. According to AMBCrypto, that ratio could serve as an early signal of capital rotating toward riskier altcoins in the fourth quarter if PEPE continues to outpace ETH.

Exchange flows hint at profit-taking

On-chain data showed PEPE's exchange supply dropped by 4.77 trillion tokens on 16 October, coinciding with significant exchange outflows and a 13% price rally between 17 and 22 October, while BTC and ETH remained largely flat.

That outflow has since reversed in part: exchange supply has jumped by 2.11 trillion PEPE, undoing more than 40% of the earlier decline. With the memecoin failing to clear critical resistance, the inflow may point to investors taking profits, AMBCrypto noted.

An intraday pullback toward $0.0000043 could mark the start of a larger correction if selling pressure persists, according to the report.

Resistance caps the rally

Technically, PEPE has returned to the $0.000005 range, a critical resistance level it has failed to overcome since the October crash, leaving it susceptible to a pullback. The on-chain data supports that more cautious scenario even as spot activity picks up.
