Pi Network has posted a 3% daily increase over the last 24 hours, outperforming several major cryptocurrencies during a recent market correction. The token has climbed to nearly $0.08.
The project has focused on protocol updates throughout 2026, beginning with version 19.6 and progressing through v20.2, which laid groundwork for smart contract capabilities. Protocol v28 was scheduled to deploy on October 16, though the team has not officially confirmed the upgrade. Some community members on social media have suggested the update would provide core blockchain infrastructure to support smart contracts and decentralized applications.
Ecosystem Developments
Beyond protocol work, Pi Network has announced several other initiatives. The project launched Pi Desktop version 0.6.4 earlier this month, designed to enable remote access to SoloHost applications without requiring manual router configuration.
Pi Network also established a partnership with Open Standard, the company behind a newly launched stablecoin. The collaboration could introduce OUSD-based rewards and additional ecosystem utility.
The project has also engaged with Axis Robotics on what has been described as a technical integration focused on scaling physical AI, according to community reports.
Upcoming Summit and Future Plans
Pi Network announced its first online Ecosystem Summit, scheduled for November 17-19. The event will feature new platform announcements, developer demonstrations, existing dApp showcases, hackathon details, and direct discussions between developers and the Core Team.
