Pi Network traded above $0.094 on Sunday, maintaining proximity to the $0.10 level following ecosystem updates announced on September 4.
New Developer Features Released
Pi Network introduced local storage capabilities for whitelisted Pi Browser applications, allowing apps to retain user preferences and session information directly on devices. This feature reduces backend expenses while keeping data private to individual devices, though storage remains limited and information does not transfer across devices.
The network also released a staking data API for whitelisted applications, providing developers access to each user's effective stake through Ecosystem Directory Staking. Developers can now integrate native file and video sharing through the Pi.shareFile function.
Documentation Hub Consolidates Resources
Pi Network released a centralized documentation hub consolidating previously scattered technical resources. The hub covers registration, sandbox testing, authentication, payments, platform references, Mainnet preparation, and application launches.
The network's development strategy emphasizes making construction easier and improving developer onboarding to encourage more useful applications across its ecosystem.
Protocol 27 Mainnet Transition Planned
Protocol 27 entered Testnet 1 on August 21, following Protocol 26's Mainnet completion in August. Testnet 2 was expected before potential Mainnet transition, with September 15 identified as a target date, though Pi has not confirmed a final deployment date.
The upgrade will prepare smart contract authentication, RPC server infrastructure, and automated market maker liquidity pools. Pi describes it as the final planned infrastructure upgrade within the current roadmap.
Technical Analysis
For Pi Network to reach $0.10, the price would need to increase approximately 6% from its trading level. Resistance levels exist at $0.095 and $0.098 to $0.10. The Relative Strength Index reading of 48 daily indicated neutral momentum with no overbought conditions. The 12-day and 26-day MACD reading was near zero, also suggesting neutral signals.
An overwhelming close above $0.10 could reveal further resistance at $0.106 and $0.11. Support levels below current trading exist at $0.09, $0.085, and $0.08.
