Pi Network price traded below the $0.1000 level on Tuesday, retreating from an intraday high of $0.0947. The decline came as the broader cryptocurrency market gained 0.74% over 24 hours to reach $2.93 trillion.
Protocol v27 Reaches Final Testnet Milestone
Pi Network completed the final testnet stage for Protocol v27, marking a critical step toward mainnet deployment. The protocol stabilized on Testnet 2 at 250 transactions per block with no recorded failures.
Protocol v27 represents the final planned upgrade in a sequence that began with version 19.6 earlier this year. The upgrade aims to provide safer and more flexible authentication for smart contracts across the network. The rollout was initially scheduled for September 15 before being moved to the testnet phase first.
The Core Team has not yet announced a confirmed mainnet deployment date for Protocol v27.
KYC Progress Clears Major Backlog
Pi Network's network development coincided with progress in its identity verification process. The project cleared more than 417,000 KYC flags on September 18, enabling more users to complete onboarding and participate in the ecosystem. The milestone reduced a longstanding obstacle affecting account access and migration.
Market Context and Price Levels
PI price consolidated between support at $0.087 and resistance near $0.090. The Relative Strength Index stood at 59.65, indicating positive momentum without overbought conditions. A sustained break above $0.090 could target $0.095 resistance, with the $0.10 level remaining a significant barrier to upward movement.
