Pi Network is seeing a fresh wave of speculation, with community analysts and commentators highlighting several potential catalysts. None of these developments have been officially confirmed by the Pi Core Team, and they are currently treated as rumors.
Unconfirmed Mainnet and Event Rumors
The primary rumor circulating in the community is that Pi Network could make a major Mainnet-related announcement on September 24. Community commentator Tien Pi reportedly revealed the date, while other accounts have amplified the speculation. Additionally, community analysts are watching the upcoming Token2049 event scheduled for October 7–8, speculating that Pi Network's participation could provide an opportunity for a significant ecosystem announcement. There is no official confirmation from the Pi Core Team regarding either date.
Another unconfirmed rumor involves potential integration with PayPal. Reports within the community claim PayPal could support Pi through its Pay with Crypto program alongside other digital assets. However, this has not been officially confirmed by either PayPal or Pi Network, and analysts note that PayPal has not appeared on Pi's KYB verification list.
Recent Market Performance
Alongside these rumors, PI has experienced market volatility in line with the broader cryptocurrency sector. After starting August around $0.08, the asset climbed toward $0.10 before retreating to roughly $0.085.
As Bitcoin rallied from approximately $64,000 to nearly $80,000, Pi gained about 14%, moving from $0.086 to almost $0.096 before pulling back. Its market capitalization has reached approximately $1.15 billion, though the asset remains roughly 96% below its all-time high of $2.98 recorded in February 2025.
