Pi Network's PI token has plunged to approximately $0.077, marking its lowest price level since July, as the broader cryptocurrency market experiences a correction driven by higher-than-expected US inflation data and weakness in international equities.
The decline follows steep losses across most altcoins, with Bitcoin slipping below $80,000. Pi Network has struggled in recent months, with multiple factors cited as headwinds, including continuous token unlocks, reported KYC issues affecting some users, and migration challenges.
AI Forecasts Diverge on Q4 Outlook
Three major AI chatbots offered differing perspectives on Pi's prospects through the end of the year. ChatGPT expressed a bearish outlook, suggesting the token could sustain current levels or potentially reach a new all-time low of around $0.06 during the fourth quarter. However, ChatGPT also identified a potential recovery scenario if protocol 28 deploys successfully and the price stabilizes above $0.10.
Perplexity assigned a 15% to 25% probability to a more severe downside scenario in which PI falls to $0.05. The platform's base case places the token trading between $0.07 and $0.10 for the remainder of the year.
Google's Gemini offered a more optimistic assessment, suggesting a rise to $0.15 is technically possible if certain conditions align. The platform highlighted potential catalysts including the protocol 28 upgrade, ecosystem expansion, and listings on major exchanges. Gemini specifically noted that a spot listing on major platforms could attract significant institutional and retail interest.
Technical Analysis and Key Levels
Market analyst Crypto With Gopal identified $0.10 to $0.105 as a critical resistance level. A breakout above this zone could potentially open a path toward $0.15, representing approximately 42% upside from current levels. The analyst identified $0.075 to $0.08 as a key support zone, cautioning that a break below this level could signal further downside pressure.
