Polygon Labs has added Solana support to its Open Money Stack (OMS), expanding a platform that lets businesses connect bank funding, wallet services, cross-chain transfers and payout capabilities through one integration.
The expansion follows the addition of TRON support. Polygon Labs said Thursday that the move is intended to reduce the need for businesses to manage separate providers and integrations when moving funds from bank accounts into crypto and converting digital assets into payments that recipients can access.
What businesses can do through OMS
Companies using the platform can connect supported bank, card, cash and crypto funding routes, create customer accounts and wallets, transfer funds between Solana and networks including Polygon, Ethereum and TRON, and deliver payouts through supported payment channels, according to the team.
Kira among first Solana adopters
Kira, a company that connects US banking and stablecoins for cross-border businesses, is among the first customers to use Solana through the platform. The cross-border payments company is using the service to expand stablecoin options for fintechs, OTC desks and import brokers, including helping clients move stablecoins into dollars for supplier payments.
Settlement and compliance options
Polygon developed OMS to simplify stablecoin payments for businesses by combining cross-border payment infrastructure into a single programmable platform. The system integrates fiat conversion, customer wallets, cross-chain routing, blockchain settlement and compliance tools, allowing businesses to accept traditional payments, transfer funds across supported networks and pay recipients in their preferred currencies.
OMS supports public settlement through Polygon Chain and dedicated Polygon CDK rollups for businesses that require customized compliance controls or private infrastructure. Polygon Chain has processed more than $3 trillion in cumulative stablecoin transfer volume.
