Polymarket has appointed Warren Jenson as chief financial officer, reporting to founder and CEO Shayne Coplan. Jenson's role includes overseeing the finance organization, capital strategy, and long-range planning as the prediction market platform scales its U.S. and international operations.
Jenson brings extensive experience in corporate finance, having previously held CFO positions at Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines, and NBC. He has also held leadership roles at Nielsen and Liveramp, where he led finance and international operations. In addition to his new position at Polymarket, Jenson serves on the boards of Ripple, DigitalOcean, and Dropbox.
His connection to the cryptocurrency industry dates to May 2023, when Ripple appointed him to its board of directors and named him audit committee chair, overseeing the company's formal auditing process.
The appointment comes as Polymarket pursues expansion following its 2025 acquisition of QCEX, a licensed derivatives exchange and clearinghouse, for $112 million. The purchase established the foundation for Polymarket's return to the U.S. market, with the platform now operating as a designated contract market regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Polymarket's platform allows participants to trade shares tied to event outcomes, with winning shares settling at $1 and losing shares at zero. Prices reflect market-implied probabilities that change as participants buy and sell. The platform resolves contracts based on specified conditions, deadlines, and data sources.
