Polymath, a blockchain platform designed to address identity, compliance, confidentiality, and governance challenges, has undergone significant structural changes as part of an institutional pivot away from its original Ethereum-based protocol.
The original Polymath project on Ethereum is no longer operating as a standalone decentralized protocol. Instead, the company has pursued corporate restructuring. In June 2025, Polymath formally acquired the Swiss Polymesh Association, absorbing the blockchain's core assets and establishing Polymesh Labs Ltd., a corporate subsidiary based in the Cayman Islands. Additionally, Polymath Research Inc. is merging with AnalytixInsight Inc. through a reverse takeover that includes $14.5 million in financing.
The platform positions itself as one of the first publicly traded Layer-1 blockchains focused on regulated assets. Polymath targets the tokenization market for real-world assets, an area where institutional interest is growing. The company projects this market could reach $4 trillion by 2025.
The POLY token's all-time high was $1.66 on February 19, 2018, and its all-time low was $0.01017 on March 13, 2020. As of the source publication date, the token traded at $0.09836.
Multiple cryptocurrency analysis firms have published price projections for POLY through 2030, with targets ranging from $0.0556 to $0.867 for 2025 and from $0.51 to $1.65 for 2030, depending on the analyst. These projections reflect varying assumptions about market conditions and adoption.
