Puffer Finance and Anchorage Digital announced a partnership to integrate institutional-grade custody and settlement capabilities into Puffer UniFi, an Ethereum-aligned execution and settlement network.
Under the agreement, Anchorage Digital will serve as Puffer UniFi's day-one institutional custodian. The companies will collaborate on stablecoin issuance, native settlement, and institutional payment infrastructure on the network.
Puffer UniFi is designed to support high-throughput execution and real-time settlement while maintaining connection to Ethereum Layer 1 liquidity through synchronous composability. This architecture aims to provide institutions with faster execution without separating them from Ethereum's liquidity and security.
The partnership extends to agentic payments, combining Anchorage Digital's institutional payment infrastructure with Puffer UniFi's execution environment to develop programmable payment rails and automated onchain financial activity.
The announcement follows Puffer's partnership with Google Cloud, announced one week prior, under which Google Cloud joined Puffer Preconf as a registered gateway, with Puffer UniFi as the first rollup to use the infrastructure.
