Pump.fun has emerged as a major revenue generator in the cryptocurrency sector, ranking second among all crypto projects in 2026 with $322 million in total revenue, according to a report from CoinGecko. Only Hyperliquid exceeded this figure with $429 million in revenue. Together, these two projects accounted for 22.10% of the $3.40 billion in total tracked revenue across the industry.
Pump.fun's revenue is derived almost entirely from token creation and trading fees on its memecoin launchpad platform. The protocol has also benefited from increased usage metrics and a reduced token supply following a 240 million PUMP token buyback program, which has contributed to scarcity-driven price support.
Technical Price Action
The PUMP token recently tested its 50-day moving average at $0.00384 and rebounded, maintaining the bullish momentum that has been in place since early July. The token pulled back from a local high of $0.0054 to $0.0034 before recovering over the past ten days.
On the daily timeframe, technical indicators show mixed signals. The on-balance volume (OBV) has been rising toward August highs, while the capital money flow (CMF) remained in negative territory at -0.13, indicating that despite price gains, buying pressure has not sustained steady upward movement to the degree seen in the previous month's rally.
Despite near-term consolidation, the PUMP token has broken above the $0.00225 swing high from May, reaching levels not seen since October 2025. On the 4-hour chart, bulls have defended the $0.00325 to $0.00371 range, though the token has not yet surpassed the $0.00464 local range high.
