The altcoin market experienced notable volatility recently, highlighted by significant price swings for Quant (QNT), technical warnings for Cardano (ADA), and ongoing momentum for SUI.
Quant Sees Dramatic Rally and Subsequent Retracement
Quant (QNT) experienced significant market activity, with its price increasing by an additional 130% over a turbulent week. In mid-September, the token traded around $60 before a massive rally was triggered by the announcement that The Clearing House selected Quant to power its On-Chain Money Initiative.
QNT surged to a five-year high of nearly $370 before retreating to trade around $235, which still reflects a 300% gain over a two-week period. Following the pullback from its local peak, analyst Ali Martinez identified $430 as a key resistance level, noting that a breakout could lead toward $2,000. Meanwhile, trader Doctor Profit disclosed that he had cashed out his entire position in the token.
Cardano Faces Potential Pullback Indicators
Cardano's native token recorded a 25% price increase in September, surpassing $0.25. However, analyst Ali Martinez highlighted several indicators suggesting a potential price retreat.
Large investors have offloaded 90 million units, valued at over $22 million, since September 20. Additionally, the Tom DeMark Sequential indicator flashed a daily sell signal on September 26, and open interest declined by 9% over the week. Martinez identified $0.24 as a critical mid-range support level, noting that a drop below could lead to $0.21, while holding the level could target the channel top near $0.28.
SUI Price Action and Technical Patterns
SUI traded around $1.18, reflecting a weekly increase of 15% and bringing its market capitalization to nearly $5 billion. Martinez pointed to a potential golden cross, with the 50-day moving average approaching the 200-day moving average.
Additionally, SUI has repeatedly consolidated within parallel channels followed by breakouts. Martinez noted that an hourly close above the key level of $1.27 could confirm another bullish breakout.
