Quant (QNT) posted a dramatic 400% surge in September, significantly outpacing gains from Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other major cryptocurrencies during the month. The token climbed from around $60 to nearly $350 by September's end, though it has since pulled back to trade just under $280.
The Clearing House Partnership
The primary driver of QNT's rally was the announcement that The Clearing House—which operates payment networks processing over $2 trillion daily—selected Quant to power its On-Chain Money Initiative.
Analyst Outlooks Diverge
Analyst Ali Martinez identified $430 as key resistance and suggested a decisive break above that level could trigger price discovery mode, potentially moving toward an all-time high of $2,000. Analyst Jia Crypto offered a more conservative forecast, predicting QNT could cross $300 and potentially reach $400.
Warning Signs Emerge
Despite bullish sentiment, several technical and on-chain signals suggest caution. The token's Relative Strength Index surged past 70, indicating overbought conditions and a potential short-term correction. QNT investors have been moving funds from self-custody to centralized exchanges in recent days, increasing immediate selling pressure. Additionally, the Quant Network founder's wallet reactivated after seven years of inactivity and moved approximately $7 million worth of QNT, which traders may interpret as a sign of potential profit-taking.
