RealFi launched on Cardano mainnet on October 1, 2026, transitioning its real-world asset stablecoin protocol from testnet to live operation. The launch follows a public testnet phase that attracted more than 3,000 verified active wallets, exceeding the protocol's initial target of 2,000 wallets.
The protocol operates using a two-token structure designed to separate liquidity from risk. USDrf functions as a liquid senior token, while sUSDrf serves as a staked junior token structured to absorb losses first, offering a differentiated approach to bringing real-world financial assets onto blockchain infrastructure.
Mainnet Integrations and Features
RealFi's mainnet launch includes immediate integrations across the Cardano ecosystem. Liqwid connects the protocol to lending markets, SundaeSwap provides access to decentralized exchange liquidity, and Lace enables users to interact with RealFi directly from within the Cardano wallet interface.
Coinciding with the mainnet launch, RealFi formally renamed its stablecoin tokens following a community vote. USDr became USDrf, and staked sUSDr became sUSDrf, while the RFG governance token remained unchanged. The protocol stated the rename supports future exchange and partner integrations.
Expansion Plans
RealFi's roadmap extends beyond Cardano. The team plans to bring the protocol to EVM-compatible networks following additional testing, aiming to extend its model to a broader onchain audience beyond the Cardano ecosystem.
The protocol emphasized that returns generated through sUSDrf are variable and not guaranteed, with capital at risk. USDrf is not a bank deposit and is not insured or guaranteed by any government agency. RealFi products are not available at launch to persons located in the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, or jurisdictions where access is restricted by applicable law.
