Fintech company Revolut allegedly disclosed customer data after mistaking a fraudulent government information request for a legitimate one, according to on-chain investigator ZachXBT. The exposed information reportedly includes names, contact details, identity documents, verification selfies, IBANs, bank statements, withdrawal records and transaction histories, including Bitcoin transfers. The number of affected accounts appears limited so far, but the incident may have targeted high-net-worth individuals. Several affected users have reportedly received notification emails from Revolut.
