Revolut Launches First Euro Stablecoin EURR

Revolut has begun rolling out its first euro-denominated stablecoin, EURR, opening the token to a select group of customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal ahead of a wider European Economic Area rollout expected later this year. The broader European launch remains subject to regulatory, operational, and product readiness.

The token is issued by Bridge, a stablecoin infrastructure firm acquired by Stripe for $1.1 billion in 2025. Within the Revolut retail app, the token functions as a euro-denominated, on-chain rail between traditional euros and cryptocurrency.

Bridge Building S.A., the issuer's Luxembourg entity, holds the reserves and redeems EURR at €1.00 per token under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets framework. Bridge announced its electronic money institution license and MiCA authorization covering all 27 EU member states on July 2.

The public offer opened on August 20 on Ethereum and Polygon, according to a company blog post. The post identifies Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd as the sole distributor and lists Revolut X, the firm's standalone exchange, as a second distribution channel. Support for Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Injective, TON, and Sui is also planned.

Revolut stated that additional currency-denominated stablecoins are currently in development through separate regulatory pathways.
