Ripple chief executive Brad Garlinghouse said XRP continues to be the company’s primary focus, emphasizing that all new initiatives are intended to benefit the token.
RLUSD Expansion Linked to XRP Liquidity
In an interview released on November 4, Garlinghouse noted that roughly half of the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin supply is issued on the XRP Ledger. He said the goal is to drive liquidity, trust and utility through XRP. RLUSD is described as being backed one‑to‑one by cash deposits, U.S. Treasury securities and cash equivalents, providing a dollar‑pegged payment asset for customers settling dollar‑denominated obligations.
Business Integration and On‑Chain Growth
Garlinghouse outlined plans for 2026 to integrate businesses acquired for $2.5 billion in 2025. He highlighted growth in Ripple’s treasury and prime brokerage services, noting that about 20 % of the prime brokerage business is already digital and that the company aims to increase that share.
Institutional Outlook for XRP
The CEO reiterated a five‑year outlook that positions XRP as part of Ripple’s broader institutional financial infrastructure. He indicated a preference for using XRP where it fits customer transactions, even if it represents a modest portion of activity.
External Adoption
Beyond Ripple, Anodos Finance, a developer of XRP Ledger tools, disclosed that it holds XRP in its treasury and pays its team with the token, reflecting ongoing use of XRP across the ecosystem.
