While the broader cryptocurrency market suffered a downturn over the past week—driven by Bitcoin dropping from $87,000 and dragging down major altcoins—Ripple-tracking investment products experienced contrasting fortunes.
ETF Outflows and XRP Defiance
Market-wide corrections impacted most crypto exchange-traded funds. Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $681 million in net outflows, Ethereum funds recorded $542 million in net outflows, and Solana-tracking funds lost nearly $25 million.
In contrast, XRP ETFs avoided the red. Although three out of the five trading days saw no reportable action, the funds attracted $3.14 million on October 6 and $8.17 million on October 8, finishing the week with a total of $11.31 million in net inflows.
This performance pushed cumulative total net inflows to a new all-time high of $1.8 billion, extending a green-only streak to 13 consecutive weeks that began in mid-July. During this streak, these financial vehicles have attracted over $300 million.
Among individual providers, Bitwise’s XRP ETF leads the market with nearly $688 million in cumulative net inflows. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ follows with $509 million, and Canary Capital’s XRPC ranks third with $487 million.
XRP Price Movement
Despite strong ETF demand, the token's price failed to escape the wider market correction. XRP traded above $1.51 on Monday and Tuesday, but encountered resistance near the $1.60 mark.
A market-wide pullback on Thursday drove the asset down to $1.32, marking a three-week low. Following a subsequent rebound, the token stands at $1.40, leaving it down by over 7% on a weekly basis.
