Ripple Expands Wall Street Presence Amid XRP Price Decline

Institutional Partnerships Drive Ripple's Growth

Ripple expanded its presence on Wall Street through multiple initiatives. The company launched swap financing services via its Ripple Prime brokerage platform, entering the leveraged ETF market. Additionally, Standard Chartered announced custody support for Ripple's native stablecoin, RLUSD, through its Dubai Financial Services Authority-regulated DIFC Branch in partnership with LMAX Group.

Ripple also deepened its partnership with Brevan Howard, expanding services for hedge funds and investment managers.

Evernorth Debuts on Nasdaq

Evernorth, an XRP-holding company with 473 million tokens, debuted on Nasdaq on October 12 after merging with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. The XRPN stock initially traded between $16.40 and $19.40 but fell to $15.26 as broader market corrections continued.

Following its debut, Evernorth announced a partnership with Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase, and BitGo to deploy its XRP holdings into institutional investment strategies beginning in Q4 2026.

XRP ETF Flows Slow

Spot XRP ETFs attracted $11.31 million during the week ending October 12. However, demand has stalled during the current business week, with net flows of $0.00 on Monday and Tuesday and $740,410 on Wednesday. This represents a significant decline from the $75 million inflow during the final full week of September.

Critical Security Fix Implemented

The XRP Ledger Foundation announced on October 11 that a critical integer overflow vulnerability dating to 2015 had been fixed. The bug could have allowed an attacker to mint XRP beyond the fixed 100 billion supply cap. The foundation confirmed no unauthorized XRP was ever created and the current circulating supply remains approximately 99.986 billion.

The vulnerability required hundreds of deliberately crafted operations and was not triggerable through normal ledger activity. After discovery by Cayden Liao and Veria AI, the fix was deployed in xrpld 3.4.1 on September 25 through direct distribution to validators rather than standard amendment procedures.

Price Weakness Persists

Despite recent institutional developments, XRP declined significantly during the current week. The token fell below $1.30 for the first time in a month following market-wide pullbacks, after trading above $1.40 at the start of the week. XRP was previously rejected at $1.50 resistance levels and dipped below $1.35 within days.
