Ripple has voted in favor of the PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment, marking a key step forward for the XRP Ledger v3.3.0 upgrade. The upgrade is designed to improve stability, performance, and readiness for institutional and tokenization use cases.
According to voting data, 7 of 35 Unique Node List (UNL) validators currently support the proposal. Mainnet activation requires an 80% threshold, meaning 28 out of 35 votes must be maintained for two consecutive weeks.
The proposal introduces an authorization delegation mechanism that provides role-based access control, allowing delegated accounts to manage specific, permitted tasks. RippleX product head Jazzi Copper noted that the amendment provides the necessary controls for regulated institutions to manage tokens and bring value on-chain.
In addition to Permission Delegation, Ripple has voted in favor of the fixCleanup amendment, as well as Single Asset Vault and Lending Protocol amendments. These additions introduce credit infrastructure and XRP or RLUSD vaults aimed at supporting decentralized finance and tokenization.
Node operators are advised to upgrade to the XRP Ledger 3.3.0 release to prevent becoming amendment-blocked upon mainnet activation. Four other proposals—Confidential Transfer, BatchV1_1, DynamicMPT, and Sponsor—are also currently in the voting stage.
Alongside the technical developments, XRP has experienced increased market activity. The token traded between a 24-hour low of $1.22 and a high of $1.43, with trading volume rising significantly over a 24-hour period. Spot XRP ETFs recorded $13.24 million in inflows on Thursday, and XRP futures open interest increased over the same timeframe.
