In October, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track Ripple's XRP token recorded net inflows of $18.83 million, extending a seven‑month streak of positive monthly performance. The funds added $4.32 million in the final week, following a $4.25 million gain the week before, and offset modest mid‑month losses.
By contrast, spot Bitcoin ETFs ended the month with over $500 million in net outflows, and spot Ethereum ETFs saw more than $1.6 billion leave, the largest monthly outflows on record for those products.
The cumulative net inflows into XRP ETFs reached an all‑time high of $1.81 billion for the month. Bitwise’s XRP fund led with $682 million in cumulative flows, followed by Franklin’s XRPZ with $524 million and Canary Capital’s XRPC with $485 million.
Despite the positive fund flows, the performance of the underlying XRP asset was negative. XRP fell to $1.50 earlier in the month, dropped below $1.20 after a major exchange hack, and closed the month around $1.25, representing a 16% loss for October—the worst monthly decline since June.
Analysts note two concerns: the $18.83 million inflow was the second‑lowest monthly total since the funds’ inception, and the asset’s price decline contrasts with the continued fund inflows.
