Robinhood Chain Apps Generate $2.7 Million in Daily Revenue, but Corporate Take Remains Unclear

Applications built on Robinhood Chain generated between $2.66 million and $2.82 million in revenue over a 24-hour period in early September, but the extent of Robinhood's own corporate earnings from the network remains uncertain.

According to DefiLlama data tracking, chain revenue during the same period totaled $963,612 on $1.07 million in chain fees. Trading bot GMGN led application revenue at approximately $1.11 million, followed by token launchpad Pons at roughly $1 million.

Robinhood's Revenue Model Remains Opaque

Robinhood has disclosed limited details about how it monetizes the chain. During the company's second-quarter earnings call, CFO Shiv Verma stated that Robinhood earns a few basis points per transaction, with approximately half of those fees shared with Arbitrum. The company provided no precise rate, transaction count calculation, or reconciliation to its official financial statements.

DefiLlama defines its chain revenue figure as gas revenue remaining after Ethereum execution and blob costs, as well as the Arbitrum Expansion Program share. This structure means available public disclosures show substantial fee activity while leaving Robinhood's exact corporate take unquantified.

Network Growth Shows Mixed Signals

Robinhood Chain has expanded its user base and assets since late July. Twenty-four-hour decentralized exchange volume reached approximately $1.4 billion, led by Uniswap, compared with nearly $370 million on July 29. Chain-wide active real-world asset market cap rose from nearly $28 million in late July to about $163 million.

However, growth indicators point in different directions. Twenty-four-hour chain inflows were negative by about $20 million despite elevated DEX volume and real-world asset values. The composition of asset growth also reflects broader industry trends: about $95 million of the $163 million in real-world assets came from Syrup USDG private credit, rather than Robinhood-issued stock tokens.

The fundamental question remains unanswered: how much of Robinhood Chain's expanded transaction and tokenized-asset base will translate into recurring corporate revenue for Robinhood.
