Robinhood Overtakes Binance in Tokenized Stock Holders Two Months After Launch

Robinhood has become the largest issuer of tokenized stocks by holder count roughly two months after launching its stock token offering. The platform now has approximately 862,800 holders of its stock tokens, according to Token Terminal data, surpassing Binance bStocks which has 827,200 holders.

The rapid growth demonstrates how an established financial platform can capture market share by combining existing distribution channels with blockchain infrastructure.

Robinhood Chain Drives Trading Volume

Activity on Robinhood Chain, the company's Ethereum layer-2 network, is accelerating significantly. Daily trading volume on Uniswap's deployment on the network reached $1.7 billion, approximately 10 times higher than levels recorded two weeks earlier. Cumulative Uniswap volume on the network has exceeded $20 billion.

Revenue Generation Accelerates

Robinhood Chain accounted for 78.5% of layer-2 blockchain revenue over the past 30 days. On September 2, the network generated approximately $4.6 million in daily revenue, which would equate to roughly $1.7 billion annualized if maintained at that pace. For a network launched only two months prior, the scale represents significant growth.

Tokenized Equities as a Bridge

The growth reflects a broader shift in cryptocurrency markets. Tokenized equities are becoming a key connection between traditional finance and blockchain markets, offering investors access to familiar assets with 24-hour trading and onchain settlement.

Robinhood's advantage lies in its existing user base, which provides a direct pathway into blockchain-based markets without requiring customers to establish accounts on crypto-native platforms.

Leadership Perspective on Bitcoin

Robinhood co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev has expressed continued support for bitcoin. In an interview with The Iced Coffee Hour, Tenev described bitcoin as difficult to replicate due to its history and brand positioning as the first and most trusted cryptocurrency.

Tenev characterized bitcoin as the original meme coin and noted it remains the primary crypto asset companies consider when building treasury strategies.
