RWA WEEK Singapore 2026 concluded in October, convening institutional investors, financial institutions, asset managers, regulators, and blockchain infrastructure providers to discuss the future of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.
The flagship RWA SUMMIT Singapore, held October 9 at Marina One West Tower, attracted more than 1,200 attendees, over 60 speakers, and more than 200 investors. The event featured two dedicated stages addressing tokenization's evolution from experimentation toward practical implementation across global financial markets.
Key Discussion Topics
Panel discussions explored tokenization of traditional financial products, institutional participation in decentralized finance, secondary market development, stablecoin adoption, and the intersection of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.
A central focus was regulatory and institutional frameworks across jurisdictions. The panel "Global Trends and Regional Frameworks: Tokenization Cases" examined how regulatory approaches and financial market infrastructure are evolving, with participation from DTCC and Canton Foundation.
Another major theme addressed the convergence of decentralized finance and real-world assets. The "DeFi & RWA: Institutional Adoption and Retail Opportunities" discussion explored how tokenized assets could expand access to financial products and create opportunities for institutional and retail participants.
"Financial Products Tokenization: Stocks, Bonds, T-Bills and MMFs" addressed bringing traditional investment instruments onto blockchain infrastructure, with focus on operational and institutional requirements for broader adoption.
Infrastructure considerations were examined during "RWA Infrastructure for Institutions: Challenges, Trust and Security," which addressed custody, security, interoperability, compliance, and technological foundations needed for institutional-scale adoption.
