Sazmining announced Friday that customers can now purchase Proto immersion hashboards outright while the company handles installation, operation, and maintenance at a U.S. mining facility. Bitcoin generated by the equipment is deposited directly into customers' personal wallets.
The offering aims to lower financial barriers to participating in bitcoin mining, an increasingly capital-intensive industry dominated by large operators with access to inexpensive electricity and specialized infrastructure.
Pricing and Timeline
Sazmining is offering the boards with a down payment of $1,397 and 18 months of zero-interest payments, totaling $4,187 per hashboard. Purchased equipment is expected to begin operating between November and December 2026.
Each hashboard delivers approximately 200 terahashes per second (TH/s) of computing power at an energy efficiency of roughly 15 joules per terahash (J/TH).
Ownership Model
Rather than purchasing an entire mining system, customers acquire individual hashboards, reducing upfront costs while retaining equipment ownership. Sazmining charges a single rate covering electricity and maintenance.
The company emphasized that its aligned-incentive model means Sazmining only earns when it produces bitcoin for clients. The launch follows a multi-megawatt hardware supply relationship between Sazmining and Proto, which they expect to expand as demand increases.
Operational Details
Founded in 2018, Sazmining operates mining facilities in the United States, Paraguay, and Norway, serving individual and institutional customers. The company also emphasized that its mining fleet operates with a carbon-free energy share more than 20 percent above the Bitcoin network average.
Mining profitability depends on several variables, including network difficulty, electricity costs, equipment performance, and bitcoin's market value. Returns are not guaranteed.
