Securitize said it has added Stellar to the blockchains it supports for issuing and managing tokenized real-world assets, expanding the platform’s options beyond Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche.
The company, which converts assets such as equity and debt into tokens that can be traded like cryptocurrencies, is known for issuing and managing BlackRock’s BUIDL tokenized money-market fund.
Why Stellar
Securitize and Stellar Development Foundation said Stellar is known for being fast and scalable, and that decentralized assets on the network can be configured for customer identification, clawbacks and sanctions compliance. The firms announced the integration at Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference in Lisbon.
Stellar already hosts institutional activity: Franklin Templeton runs a tokenized money-market fund on the blockchain, and MoneyGram moves money across it daily, according to the announcement.
Institutional demand
“The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, which speaks to the strength of its network and the growing institutional demand for tokenization,” Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo said in a statement.
Tokenization has drawn increased attention in recent months, with more companies saying they are offering or planning to offer tokenized versions of shares, bonds and commodities that can be traded around the clock with few geographic restrictions.
