Nasdaq-listed Ethereum treasury firm SharpLink (Nasdaq: SBET) has confirmed its first major onchain deployment, allocating $200 million with Ether.fi and $200 million with Lido Finance. Anchorage Digital is serving as the custodian for both positions.
The company announced the move via its official X account on October 19, 2026, marking a shift from passive accumulation to active, yield-generating onchain strategies. According to SharpLink, the deployment is designed to make its ETH productive daily and compound yields to increase ETH-per-share metrics.
Lido and Ether.fi Allocations
The Lido allocation fulfills a plan announced in August 2026, where SharpLink stakes $200 million to receive wstETH—a liquid token that earns staking rewards while remaining deployable across decentralized finance. Lido holds approximately $16.5 billion in staked ETH, with wstETH integrated into more than 100 protocols.
Meanwhile, the Ether.fi allocation extends a separate line of work involving liquid restaking and weETH instruments. Both positions operate within a public-company balance sheet featuring Big 4 audit oversight.
Broader Institutional Context
This deployment follows previous capital allocation efforts, including a $100 million commitment to the Galaxy SharpLink Onchain Yield Fund in early August. SharpLink reports that its institutional ownership stands at approximately 60%, with holders including BlackRock, Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, and Vanguard.
Other listed entities, such as BitMine, are also actively staking accumulated ETH. Meanwhile, traditional financial institutions continue expanding their blockchain involvement, highlighted by JPMorgan extending its JPM Coin deposit token to the Ethereum network.
