ShredPay has officially joined the Jack Henry Fintech Integration Network, creating a pathway for banks and credit unions using Jack Henry technology to access stablecoin and digital-asset services. The partnership was announced on September 21 and focuses on technical integration rather than an automatic rollout across all Jack Henry customers.
Connecting Through jXchange and SymXchange APIs
ShredPay operates as a stablecoin and digital-asset management platform. Through this network partnership, financial institutions can integrate ShredPay's offerings utilizing jXchange and SymXchange APIs, which are the standard interfaces used to link fintech products directly with Jack Henry's core banking systems.
Industry observers note that a primary hurdle for bank adoption of digital assets is the challenge of connecting new tools with existing systems used for accounts, payments, controls, and reporting. The integration network aims to minimize this technical friction.
Distribution Opportunities and Broad Reach
Jack Henry currently serves approximately 7,400 financial institutions, encompassing both banks and credit unions. While this figure represents the broader network rather than an immediate roster of active ShredPay users, securing access to a major core-banking provider's integration layer is a significant step for a fintech firm targeting regulated institutions.
Stablecoins are increasingly viewed as viable payment and settlement infrastructure rather than strictly crypto-native assets. ShredPay's integration with Jack Henry represents another effort to bridge this technology with traditional banking workflows.
