Solana ETFs Post Largest Weekly Outflow, Ending 14-Week Inflow Streak

US spot Solana (SOL) exchange-traded funds experienced their largest weekly outflow since launching in October 2025, shedding $24.8 million in the week ending October 9. The exit ended a streak of 14 consecutive inflow weeks.

The outflow represented nearly a threefold increase compared to the previous record of $8.9 million set in the week ending February 6. Two weeks prior to this decline, Solana ETFs had recorded their second-largest inflow week at $188.2 million, before activity slowed to $2.4 million in the week ending October 2.

Broader Crypto ETF Weakness

The Solana outflow occurred amid a challenging week for crypto ETFs more broadly. Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs shed $681.1 million and Ethereum (ETH) ETFs lost $542.1 million during the same period. Zcash (ZEC) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) ETFs also posted outflows of $30.7 million and $9.4 million, respectively.

Asset Declines Driven Partly by Price Pressure

Net assets in Solana ETFs fell 8.9% over the week, declining from $1.90 billion to $1.73 billion. Of the $170 million decrease in total assets, the $24.8 million outflow accounted for only a portion, with the remainder largely reflecting SOL's price movement. SOL fell 10.25% during the trading week before recording modest gains over the weekend, trading at $111.53 at press time, up 1.45% over the prior 24 hours.

XRP ETFs Continue Attracting Capital

Spot XRP (XRP) ETFs moved counter to broader market trends, drawing $11.3 million inflows during the same week and extending their consecutive inflow streak to 13 weeks. Their last outflow week ended July 10.

The inflow momentum persisted despite XRP declining 8.2% during the week. Cumulative net inflows into XRP ETFs reached $1.80 billion, though net assets stood at $1.57 billion.

Year-to-date through January 1, Solana and XRP ETFs have each attracted more capital than Bitcoin ETFs, with Solana funds drawing $816.8 million, XRP funds attracting $635.5 million, and Bitcoin funds receiving $494.1 million.
