Cryptocurrency markets saw positive movement across major assets, with Bitcoin returning to the $80,000 level and Solana reaching its highest price since late January.
Bitcoin jumped by over $2,000 from its daily low, inching closer to the $80,000 resistance level. The asset previously experienced a major rally that drove it from $65,000 to $70,000 within hours, eventually reaching nearly $80,000 on Friday morning before pulling back to $75,500 over the weekend. After dipping to just under $78,000 in a subsequent leg down, BTC recovered to trade near $80,000 at press time. Its market capitalization surpassed $1.6 trillion, and its market dominance stood at over 58%.
Among larger-cap altcoins, Solana emerged as the top performer, surging by roughly 7% to 8% to hit $105, marking its highest price tag since January 31.
Other major altcoins also posted gains. Ethereum climbed past the $2,500 level with a 3% increase to over $2,550. Binance Coin (BNB) traded above $710, while XRP found support at $1.40 and recovered to $1.45. Chainlink (LINK), Dogecoin (DOGE), Bittensor (TAO), and Ethena (ENA) also recorded green figures.
The total cryptocurrency market capitalization added approximately $50 billion over a 24-hour period, bringing the aggregate valuation to $2.780 trillion.
