Spot cryptocurrency ETFs tracking Ripple (XRP) and Solana (SOL) have shifted sharply from recent strength, with both funds experiencing significant investor withdrawals this week.
The XRP ETFs ended their 13-week streak of positive inflows, closing out the week with $1.84 million in net withdrawals. Activity was sparse through much of the week, with zero reportable flows to start the week and only modest inflows of $740,000 on Wednesday. Investors reversed course on Thursday, pulling $104,510 from the funds, followed by the week's largest transaction on Friday, when net flows reached $2.47 million. The result marked the first red week for the XRP ETFs since the week ending July 10. XRP itself faced selling pressure, retreating from $1.40 to $1.27 where it found support over the weekend.
Solana's ETFs fared worse, posting what the data indicates was their worst week on record for net outflows at $25.52 million, surpassing the prior week's outflows of $24.81 million. The SOL funds have recorded only one positive day since late September, with modest inflows of $1.30 million on October 2. Friday alone saw outflows of $12.6 million. Total net inflows in the SOL ETFs declined from $1.62 billion to $1.56 billion over a two-week period. The underlying SOL asset pulled back from $110, touching $101–$102 on several occasions this week while remaining above $100.
