Stacks (STX) has recovered from October's selling pressure, climbing toward $0.36 and breaking above a descending resistance trendline. The token has reclaimed several short-term moving averages, with rising trading volume accompanying the advance.
The price movement coincides with increased activity around Stacks' Bitcoin Staking programme, which allows Bitcoin holders to earn BTC-denominated rewards while retaining control of their assets. The first two bonding periods attracted approximately 735 BTC in total commitments, including 230 BTC in the initial period and 505 BTC in the second.
Technical Levels and Near-Term Outlook
STX is trading above the $0.35 region after its breakout from the descending trendline. The immediate resistance level stands at $0.38, with potential for further upside toward $0.40–$0.48 if this area holds. Support is positioned at $0.306, followed by the $0.30 psychological level.
A deeper decline toward $0.28 would put the recent breakout at risk, according to technical analysis of the 1-hour chart.
Upcoming Catalysts
The next Bitcoin Staking bonding period is expected to open around November 10, with the programme transitioning toward monthly bonding windows. This expansion may increase demand for STX, as the protocol uses STX alongside BTC to support bonding capacity.
Stacks is also preparing for its Epoch 4.1 upgrade, targeted for early December. The upgrade is expected to make Clarity 7 the default for new smart contracts, supporting further development across the ecosystem.
The ecosystem is working to expand the use of staked Bitcoin across decentralized finance applications, including lending, borrowing, and yield-generating products.
