Bitcoin treasury firm Strategy continued its weekly repurchase program last week by buying back more STRC shares, according to a recent Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing. During the same period, the firm did not buy or sell any Bitcoin, leaving its holdings unchanged.
STRC Share Repurchases and Cash Reserves
Last week, Strategy bought back just over 1.4 million STRC shares for a total of $139.3 million. The company reported that it used cash from its USD cash pool to fund the repurchases.
Following these transactions, Strategy holds $5.10 billion in USD Reserve and $1.3 billion in USD cash. The filing also noted that the firm did not sell any shares under its at-the-market program last week, marking the second consecutive week without MSTR share sales.
Despite the weekly buybacks, STRC continues to trade just below its par value of $100. TradingView data shows STRC trading around $98, representing a gain of over 3% over the past month. Meanwhile, MSTR stock traded flat at around $132, though it has gained over 34% in the last month alongside a more than 22% increase in Bitcoin prices during the same timeframe.
Bitcoin Holdings Steady
Strategy's Bitcoin holdings remained unchanged last week as the firm neither bought nor sold any BTC. The company currently holds 845,050 BTC, acquired for a total of $63.73 billion at an average price of $75,412.
This is the second consecutive week that Strategy has paused its Bitcoin purchases or sales. The company's recent focus has centered largely on STRC buybacks in an effort to drive the preferred security back toward its par value. Earlier this year, Strategy sold STRC shares under its ATM program to fund weekly Bitcoin purchases before pausing those buys to build up cash reserves, pay STRC dividends, and launch the share buyback program.
