Strategy has refrained from purchasing additional Bitcoin this week, following an outlier acquisition made last week by the corporate holder. Former CEO Michael Saylor announced on X that the firm has repurchased another $176 million worth of STRC.
Along with the STRC repurchases, the company increased the size of its recently launched Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program from $1 billion to $2 billion. According to the update, Strategy holds 845,050 BTC alongside $6.5 billion in USD assets.
Despite a minor price correction over a 24-hour period, Strategy's Bitcoin position remains in green territory. With the crypto stash acquired at an average price of $75,412 per unit and a trading price of $78,200, the firm holds an unrealized profit exceeding $2 billion.
Strategy's previous purchase last week drew attention from the crypto community because it occurred at prices above $80,000, following earlier sales completed when the asset fell near $62,000.
Meanwhile, the STRC repurchase program has supported the recovery of the underlying shares. Although shares designed to trade at a $100 par level dropped to $75 earlier in the summer, they rebounded to nearly $98 as of Friday's close, remaining just below the $100 par mark.
