Strategy Pauses Bitcoin Buying While Strive Adds 469 BTC

Strategy, the world's largest corporate holder of bitcoin, has paused its BTC accumulation strategy. The company made its most recent bitcoin purchase on September 1, spending $370 million to acquire 4,603 BTC, but has remained quiet on additional bitcoin acquisitions since then.

According to Michael Saylor, the company's total cryptocurrency holdings remain at 845,050 BTC, acquired at an average price of $75,412 per unit. Strategy has spent approximately $63.7 billion to build this position over the past six years, with current holdings valued roughly $2 billion higher than the acquisition cost.

Instead of pursuing additional bitcoin, Strategy has focused on repurchasing its STRC token, deploying another $139 million toward this effort. The company's USD reserve has decreased slightly to $6.4 billion following these transactions. STRC's price has recovered substantially from lows near $75 to over $98.5.

In contrast, Strive has continued accumulating bitcoin. CEO Matt Cole announced that the firm acquired 469 BTC for $36.6 million at an average price of $77,954 per bitcoin, bringing total holdings to 25,000 BTC. Cole noted that all capital for this purchase came from SATA, which now has over $1 billion in notional outstanding, with an amplification ratio of 53.5%.
