The transaction also raised Strategy’s U.S. dollar cash position by $29 million and included a $152 million repurchase of its preferred security, STRC. After the buy, the company reported $6.71 billion in USD assets and a net leverage ratio of 0.0%.
Cash reserves and duration
Strategy now holds a $5.10 billion USD reserve and $1.61 billion in cash. The company said these moves extended its USD duration to four years, an increase of 23 days, while the BTC credit on STRC fell by three basis points to 56 basis points.

Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, began its bitcoin acquisition program in August 2020 with a $250 million purchase of 21,454 BTC. Since then, it has used equity and debt financing to expand its bitcoin holdings, shifting its focus from software to a bitcoin‑centric treasury strategy. Michael Saylor, who stepped down as CEO in 2022, continues to guide the bitcoin strategy as executive chairman, while Phong Le oversees day‑to‑day operations.
