Asset manager Strive purchased an additional 1,110 bitcoin for $81.5 million, raising its total cryptocurrency holdings to 21,356 BTC. The acquisition took place between August 17 and August 21 at an average price of $73,409 per coin, inclusive of fees and expenses.
Chairman and CEO Matt Cole announced the transaction, directing investors to the company's regulatory filing for further details. According to the SEC filing, the purchase increased Strive's bitcoin stash from 20,246 BTC to 21,356 BTC. Concurrently, the firm's cash and cash equivalents increased from $154.8 million on August 14 to $171.9 million on August 21.
The bitcoin purchases are funded primarily through equity issuance. Strive's Class A common shares outstanding increased by approximately 3.65 million to reach about 79.9 million, while Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock (SATA) shares rose by roughly 441,000. Founded in 2022 by Vivek Ramaswamy and Anson Frericks, Strive completed a reverse merger with Asset Entities in September 2025 and subsequently integrated approximately 5,048 BTC onto its balance sheet through an all-stock acquisition of Semler Scientific in early 2026.
Strive tracks its performance using metrics such as bitcoin-per-share growth and Bitcoin Yield to evaluate whether its accumulation strategy outpaces share dilution. In addition to its digital asset treasury strategy, the company manages nearly $3 billion across exchange-traded funds and other investment products, generating separate fee revenue.
