Strive Reaches 25,000 Bitcoin Holdings After $36.6 Million Purchase

Strive has acquired 469 Bitcoin for $36.6 million, bringing its total holdings to 25,000 BTC. The purchase, completed between September 8 and 11 at an average price of $77,954 per coin, was disclosed in a Form 8-K filed with the SEC on September 14.

The entire purchase was funded through SATA, Strive's Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock. CEO Matt Cole stated that preferred stock now carries over $1 billion in notional value outstanding, up from $999 million the previous week. The company also increased its amplification ratio to 53.5%, meaning it now carries approximately $53.50 in preferred obligations for every $100 of Bitcoin on its balance sheet.

The purchase represents a significant slowdown from the previous week, when Strive acquired 1,375 Bitcoin for roughly $109 million. That earlier purchase was funded 70% through preferred stock and 30% through common stock. The shift to exclusive preferred-stock financing reflects the company's strategy to raise capital without diluting existing shareholders.

At current prices, Strive's 25,000 Bitcoin holdings are valued at approximately $1.95 billion. The company ranks fifth among publicly traded Bitcoin holders, behind Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings. Twenty One Capital leads the leaderboard with 43,514 BTC, putting it 18,515 coins ahead of Strive.
