Strive has expanded its Bitcoin holdings to 25,000 BTC following a purchase of 469 coins valued at approximately $36.6 million. The acquisition, completed between September 8 and September 11, 2026, was disclosed in an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The 469 Bitcoin were purchased at an average price of about $77,954 per coin, bringing the company's total balance from 24,531 BTC to exactly 25,000 BTC. CEO Matt Cole announced the milestone on X, stating "Wall-breaking season at Strive."
Recent Expansion Pattern
The latest acquisition represents part of a broader capital deployment strategy. In late August, Strive acquired 1,800 BTC, followed by an additional 1,375 BTC purchase before completing this transaction.
Funding Structure
Strive funded the $36.6 million purchase through its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, known as SATA, rather than through common share proceeds. The nominal issuance value of SATA has now exceeded $1 billion.
Cole noted that the company's "amplification ratio" has risen to 53.5%, a metric Strive uses to track Bitcoin exposure available to common shareholders relative to its net asset value.
Additional Assets
Beyond its Bitcoin position, Strive held 505,000 shares of Strategy's STRC preferred stock valued at approximately $49.81 million as of September 11. The company also reported approximately $204.2 million in cash.
During 2026, Strive expanded its treasury through direct purchases and assets acquired from its merger with Semler Scientific, culminating in the achievement of the 25,000 BTC milestone.
