Strive, a Nasdaq-listed bitcoin treasury company, has reached 25,000 BTC in total holdings following a recent purchase of 469 bitcoins at an average price of approximately $77,954.
The acquisition brings Strive's bitcoin holdings to approximately $2 billion in value. According to Bitcoin Treasuries data, Strive ranks as the fifth largest publicly traded bitcoin company, behind Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA.
CEO Matt Cole announced that the purchase was funded entirely through capital raised via sales of SATA, Strive's perpetual preferred stock. Following the announcement, Strive's stock (ASST) traded more than 6% higher.
Debt-Free Strategy
Strive distinguishes itself from other major bitcoin treasuries by maintaining a debt-free balance sheet with no bonds, credit lines, or leveraged positions. This contrasts with larger competitors like Strategy, which have used leverage to acquire bitcoin.
The Dallas-based company was founded by tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and debuted as an official bitcoin treasury last year. In January 2026, Strive completed the acquisition of Semler Scientific in an all-stock deal, marking the first instance of a publicly traded bitcoin treasury company acquiring another such company.
The structure allows investors to obtain amplified returns from the company's stock as Strive purchases bitcoin with equity while maintaining financial stability through its debt-free model.
