Strive, Inc. purchased 1,110 bitcoin last week, marking the Dallas-based company's largest single-week purchase in months and lifting its total treasury to 21,356 coins, according to a Monday filing.
The company's stock, traded on Nasdaq under the ticker ASST, rose following the news with shares trading over 7% higher on Monday. Strive is an asset manager that rebranded in 2025 as a publicly traded bitcoin treasury company and completed an all-stock acquisition of Semler Scientific in January 2026.
An 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission stated that the purchases occurred between August 17 and August 21. The company acquired the coins at an average price of approximately $73,409 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses, for a total of nearly $81.5 million.
The latest acquisition increased Strive's holdings by roughly 5.5% from the 20,246 coins reported in mid-August. The firm funded the purchase using proceeds from at-the-market offerings of its ASST and SATA shares. Additionally, cash and cash equivalents rose to $171.9 million, up from $154.1 million in July.
The filing reveals a notable acceleration in buying pace compared to earlier in the month, when Strive purchased 147 bitcoin between August 3 and August 7 at an average of just over $64,800, followed by another 79 bitcoin the subsequent week at an average of $63,231.
Strive currently ranks as the seventh-largest public corporate holder of bitcoin.
