Bittensor’s TAO traded around $251 on October 27, holding near the $250 level after falling from above $320 in late September. Recent sessions have kept the token close to that round number, with buyers struggling to hold the high levels and build a lasting recovery.
The pause leaves TAO at an important point: it has held above its recent lows but remains well below the prices reached during September’s rally.
September rally gives way to October losses
TAO climbed sharply in September, rising from around $220 to a high above $320. The rally then gave way to a decline through October.
That retreat brought the token back toward an area where trading picked up during earlier positive stretches of the advance. At the time of writing, TAO was around $251.31, close to its longer-term average price of around $251. It has not been able to bounce above that average recently, and its attempts have been limited. It reached a session low near $246.87 on October 27 before recovering toward the $251 range.
Levels in focus after the pullback
The immediate area to watch is $245–$247, where TAO has recently traded near its lows. Staying above that range would allow buyers to build on the latest bounce.
A return to $255–$260 would be an initial sign of improvement. If TAO moves beyond that area, traders will be watching whether it can recover toward $266–$270, where it traded before the latest leg down.
On the downside, if the recent lows give way, an earlier trading area around $230–$240 would come into focus. Past trading there does not guarantee that buyers will return at the same prices.
Grayscale ETF filing adds another focal point
Grayscale’s October 23 filing to convert its existing Bittensor Trust into an ETF gives TAO holders and investors another development to watch. The listing has not happened yet because some outstanding requirements remain.
For now, the chart shows TAO holding near $250 after its decline. Traders are waiting to see whether that pause develops into a recovery.
