Alongside the price appreciation, market activity expanded considerably. Tezos's daily trading volume skyrocketed by 878% to reach $68 million. The broader market's bullishness coincided with a key ecosystem milestone: the launch of the Tezos post-quantum code.
According to Tezos Commons, the post-quantum resilient Data Availability Layer (DAL) shownet is now live as an experimental network featuring 12 bakers and 14 DAL nodes. This development transitions post-quantum work into a live testing phase for builders, aiming to replace the quantum-vulnerable KZG polynomial commitment and allow developers to test infrastructure via RPC endpoints.
The network activity reflected the broader momentum. New users on the network increased from 573 to 608, while daily transactions climbed to 121,000.
Derivatives markets also experienced heightened engagement. Data from Coinglass showed that Tezos's Open Interest climbed by 44% to $18.1 million, and derivatives volume surged by 272% to $58 million. The simultaneous rise in both Open Interest and volume points to steady capital inflows and active trader participation in both long and short positions.
Meanwhile, the overall Long/Short Ratio hovered below one at approximately 0.96, though specific exchanges like Binance and OKX recorded ratios above one, indicating that investor sentiment favoring longs is not yet uniform across all platforms.
