Quack AI (Q), Akedo (AKE), and Monero (XMR) have emerged as three altcoins trading at significant technical junctures during the third week of October 2026. Over the past seven days, Q surged 298%, AKE gained 24.8%, and XMR added 11.3%, though their price structures and underlying risks differ sharply.
Quack AI Breaks Above Long-Term Range
Q trades near $0.1298 after breaking through a range that capped the token at $0.028 from May through early October. The token cleared resistance around $0.054 approximately October 16. Futures volume on October 18 reached 25.7 times spot volume, with short liquidations hitting roughly $8.4 million on Binance and Bybit.
The rally coincides with renewed interest in AI tokens, though no project-specific catalyst has been identified. Warning signs include an intraday wick to $0.216 followed by a roughly 40% pullback. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) reads near 87, its highest level on record for the token.
Support now sits at $0.10. A daily close below this level could expose the $0.054 support zone, representing approximately 58% downside from current prices.
Akedo Faces Token Supply Event
AKE trades at $0.02956 with a market cap near $673 million. The token has spent the past month trading below the 0.236 Fibonacci level at $0.0321, with the $0.029 to $0.037 zone serving as a resistance band since late September. An October 15 attempt to reach $0.037 failed.
The RSI near 51 indicates neutral momentum without clear bullish or bearish conviction. Approximately $63 million worth of AKE unlocks on October 21, representing about 9% of market cap. A previous unlock on September 21 preceded the token's slide into its current trading range.
A daily close above $0.037 would signal a breakout. Breaking below the early October low of $0.022 could expose the 0.382 Fibonacci level at $0.0118, roughly 60% lower.
Monero Tests Resistance for Third Time
XMR trades at $590.55, pressing against the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $600 for the third time since September. Earlier attempts stalled near $610 on September 18 and $635 on September 22. Each pullback has ended at successively higher levels, first near $490 and later at $516 in October, forming an ascending triangle pattern.
October 18 trading volume was the largest since late September. The RSI near 65 remains below overbought territory, leaving room for potential upside movement. A daily close above $635 could target the 0.786 Fibonacci level at $688, representing approximately 16% upside.
However, another rejection at resistance risks forming a double top. Approximately 63% of tracked accounts hold long positions, which could amplify any move downward toward $538. Regulatory pressures persist following earlier exchange delistings.
