TRES Finance, a digital asset treasury management platform acquired by Fireblocks, has released a dedicated plugin for Anthropic’s Claude AI directory. The tool connects live portfolio data managed through TRES directly into Claude, enabling institutional users to run natural-language queries on account balances and transaction reconciliations.
How TRES AI Connect Works
The integration consists of two main components. The first is TRES AI Connect, a multi-channel processor built on Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) that links live digital asset data to Claude. The MCP endpoint operates at ai.tres.finance/mcp, with users authenticating through their existing TRES accounts.
The second component is the Claude plugin itself, hosted on GitHub. It packages specific financial skills, including generating transaction flow diagrams, managing cost basis calculations, and producing reconciliation reports through conversational prompts.
TRES primarily serves crypto-native firms and regulated institutions that manage billions in digital assets and require audit-grade financial records.
The Fireblocks Connection
Fireblocks acquired TRES Finance for $130 million, integrating TRES’s treasury management and compliance tooling into Fireblocks’ institutional infrastructure. Before the acquisition, TRES had raised approximately $18.6 million in venture funding.
The acquisition provided Fireblocks with a financial intelligence and compliance layer designed for digital assets, complementing Fireblocks' offerings in custody, transfers, and tokenization.
Institutional Crypto and AI Plugins
Anthropic has expanded Claude’s finance plugin ecosystem by adding verified integrations for various financial workflows. TRES functions as a specialized data layer focused specifically on digital assets, a niche distinct from most traditional finance plugins.
Recent weeks have shown little evidence of new plugin directory additions, which may impact TRES’s visibility within the broader Anthropic finance plugin landscape.
