TRON DAO announced that total transaction volume settled on the TRON blockchain has surpassed $30 trillion. The milestone reflects the network's position as a primary settlement layer for stablecoin transfers, payments, and digital asset activity.
According to the announcement, TRON has recorded more than 405 million total user accounts, over 15 billion total transactions, and more than $28 billion in total value locked. The network currently carries more than $94 billion in circulating USDT, the largest supply of any blockchain.
Transaction Volume and Payment Activity
According to Token Terminal, TRON leads all networks in USDT transfer volume year to date, with approximately $6 trillion in transfers, averaging $25 billion in daily transfer volume. The network has also expanded into consumer payments, with TRON's share of crypto payment card volumes rising from 33% in the first quarter of 2026 to 34% in the second quarter, the highest of any chain tracked.
Institutional Growth and Market Integration
Institutional access to TRON has expanded in recent months. In September 2026, Canary Capital launched the Canary Staked TRX ETF, trading under ticker TRXS. Bitnomial, a US-regulated derivatives exchange, began offering TRX spot and futures products. Anchorage Digital expanded support for the TRON Network with native TRX staking and custody for TRC-20 assets.
TRON was among the top 5 protocols represented in the newly launched S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index, developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices and Pantera Capital using methodology centered on protocol utility, onchain liquidity, and network activity.
Network Background
Founded in September 2017, TRON launched its MainNet in May 2018. The blockchain has become recognized as a global settlement layer for stablecoin transactions and everyday purchases.
