GENEVA, Switzerland — TRON DAO announced that total accounts on the TRON blockchain have exceeded 400 million. The milestone highlights sustained network activity and positions TRON among the most actively utilized blockchain networks globally.
Account growth on the network has accelerated over time. Following the launch of its genesis block on June 25, 2018, TRON took four years to reach its first 100 million accounts. The network subsequently hit 200 million accounts on December 7, 2023, reached 300 million accounts on April 12, 2025, and crossed the 400 million threshold on August 23, 2026.
Alongside its expanding user base, TRON has processed more than 15.2 billion transactions, with total transfer volume nearing $30 trillion. The network has established itself as a major infrastructure layer for cross-border transfers and stablecoin payments, supported by high throughput, low transaction costs, and deep liquidity.
“Reaching 400 million accounts is a meaningful milestone for the TRON ecosystem and a reflection of the growing demand for accessible blockchain infrastructure,” said TRON founder Justin Sun, noting the network's role in payments, stablecoins, decentralized applications, and tokenized assets.
Recent developments for the network include institutional recognition and integrations. The TRON blockchain was recognized among the top protocols in the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index based on network activity, protocol utility, and on-chain liquidity. Additionally, collaborations with Anchorage Digital, Securitize, and Bitnomial have worked to expand institutional access to the ecosystem.
Founded in September 2017 with a Mainnet launch in May 2018, TRON hosts the largest circulating supply of USD Tether (USDT), exceeding $94 billion. As of August 2026, TRONSCAN data indicates that the network holds over $28 billion in total value locked.
