Geneva, Switzerland — TRON DAO announced that total accounts on the TRON blockchain have exceeded 400 million. The milestone highlights ongoing activity across the network and its usage for on-chain economic activity.
Account growth accelerated following the network's genesis block launch on June 25, 2018. TRON reached its first 100 million accounts in four years, followed by 200 million accounts on December 7, 2023. The network then surpassed 300 million accounts on April 12, 2025, before crossing the 400 million mark on August 23, 2026.
The expanding user base corresponds with broader network activity, having processed more than 15.2 billion transactions and a total transfer volume exceeding $29 trillion. TRON's throughput, low transaction fees, and liquidity have established the network as a settlement layer for stablecoin payments and cross-border transfers.
“Reaching 400 million accounts is a meaningful milestone for the TRON ecosystem and a reflection of the growing demand for accessible blockchain infrastructure,” said Justin Sun, founder of TRON.
The network has also seen growing applications in institutional asset tokenization. Recent developments include TRON's inclusion in the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index, based on protocol utility, onchain liquidity, and network activity, alongside collaborations with Anchorage Digital, Securitize, and Bitnomial.
As of August 2026, TRON hosts a circulating supply of USD Tether (USDT) exceeding $94 billion and records over $28 billion in total value locked (TVL) according to TRONSCAN.
